Guatemala

Guatemala was my first foray into Central America. Guatemala is the most populous nation in the region, with a wide variety of natural landscapes. From the Mayan ruins at Tikal to the stunning Lake Atitlan, the county has plenty to offer visitors of all stripes. There is a reason why Guatemala is one of the most popular destinations for digital nomads and expats. I honestly feel guilty for spending so few days in Guatemala. Luckily, this is one of those country where I knew we would return over and over again. Despite the ongoing political instability and violence related to drug traffic, the spirits of Guatemala remained strong.
